"The contemporary line that French designer and aristocrat Charlotte Dauphin de la Rochefoucauld founded continues to stimulate and surprise with its technical ingenuity and refined architectural aesthetic.
This season, the house unveiled a second series of haute joaillerie in a timely ode to “diversity through the inclusion of opposites.” De la Rochefoucauld interpreted the theme with vigor, employing spontaneous bursts of white diamonds and — for the very first time — the deepest blue sapphires — on large geometric and kinetic structures. “I approached each as a unique composition,” she explains of the collection, which also offers several seemingly malleable diamond earrings that fall on the body like a finely draped silk handkerchief. The pieces, she concludes, are “like a wave that remains in constant motion.”
